Summerville High School Foundation 2nd Annual Fundraiser: Feed the Bears, on November 3, 2007 was a huge success, raising approximate $30,000.00. The Foundation received a $200,000.00 matching fund grant from the Sonora Area Foundation / Irving J Symond fund. The Summerville Foundation is now moving forward with the construction of four new Tennis Courts next to the softball diamond. In the near future you will see donation cans in stores through out the County for this purpose. Also in the near future a Gift Brick fundraiser will get under way. The Foundation will be selling Gift Bricks, 4X 8 ($50.00), 8 X 8 ($100.00) and 8 X 16 for (275.00). These bricks will be installed at the entrance to the new tennis courts. Please contact myself or any Foundation Board member for a Gift Brick order form. UPDATE: 5/19/08, The four new cement courts and fencing are completed. The Blue and Green playing coat was completed on 5/17/08. When the poles and nets are installed and a way is figured out to keep the red clay and road base from being tracked onto the courts, they will be opened up. Hours the courts will be opened to the public will be determined by the school. Keep checking for the next up date.
Twain Harte Tennis Courts, resurfacing: Twain Harte CSD plans to resurface the three tennis courts on Marquis Dr next spring. Lee Allendorf is coordinating an effort to raise a portion of the money from local tennis players who frequent the Twain Harte Courts. Please contact Lee at (209) 586-3368 for information if you would like to contribute., The court resurfacing was completed and the new blue and green courts opened on June 22nd 2007. Up date 6/28/08 The courts once again were reparied during the second week of June 2008. New benches were also added to each court.

Phoenix Lake Tennis Courts: The Phoenix Lake Courts were resurfaced this past June, 2006. If you belong to the TCCTA (Tuolumne County Community Tennis Association) you can purchased a playing membership for the courts for $125.00 annually. Contact Bob Feigen at (209) 532-7672 for TCCTA information or Jean Baker at (209) 533-0680 for Phoenix Lake court information.Up date 6/28/08. Membership cards were issued to all Affiliate members. A new locking system and spring were installed on the entrance gate.

Columbia Tennis Courts: The Columbia Tennis Courts are scheduled to be completely rebuilt stating July 2007. with a completion date in August. The new completed courts
